My Jotter: September 2013

Quite a number of times my sister commented on the "silence" that has descended upon my blog after the Mother's Day entry. Actually , apart from having been preoccupied with activities, the truth is, I was also not "in the mood".

I hope to return to my reading and writing again ... eventually. Meanwhile... here are some photos and brief snippets of recent happenings while I've 'been away'.

~ First week May, my Mum kena demam denggi. Seminggu I was at the hospital taking care of her.

~ Pilihanraya 2013. undi! jangan tak undi! biar pinjam wheelchair hospital, namun tetap pegi mengundi ! :-)

~ First week June, end of exams for Firdaus's first year. Yeay! tak sabar tunggu dia balik! tapi awal-awal lagi dia dah bagitau dia tak terus balik. He joined the Global Brigades Holistic Development and voluntarily went to Ghana for a "water brigades" project.

~ Sementara menunggu Firdaus balik, kita di rumah sibuk menguruskan persiapan perkahwinan my sister.

*******

~ 3 days before the wedding, Firdaus arrived home. **hugs ... hugs... and more hugs..**

Special Request from him: "Balik nanti nak makan Nasi Goreng Daging Merah dari Restoran Pak Hussin Tomyam".

ok laaa... enjoy your nasi goreng daging merah and juice tembikai

Ba pun rindu jugak... tu sebab nak duduk dekat-dekat tengok anak dia makan.

~ 10 July 2013 / 1st Ramadan: The beginning of fasting month. Dua tiga hari sebelum puasa bermula, kepala sibuk memikirkan jadual menu-menu yang bakal dimasak. Malam sebelum puasa bermula, tidor pun dah tak lena sebab takut terlepas sahur.

3am bangun masak, 4am kejutkan seisi rumah bersahur. Diorang kata awal sangat. So, esoknya bangun masak at 4am and makan at 4.30. Haaa... just nice !

~ 14 July 2013 / 5th day of Ramadan: My Pak Chak passed away.

~ 28 July: Our Wedding Anniversary. I simply love the present, thank you, dear.

~ 8 August 2013: Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri

Firdaus's UK friend, Saul, came to stay with us a few days before Raya and stayed on till 2 weeks after. Sempat juga dia berpuasa dua setengah hari pada hari-hari terakhir Ramadhan.

~ 14 August: Got a new gadget for myself.

As I write this entry today, Apple dah keluarkan dua iPhone baru pulak dah!

~ 15th August 2013: Berita mengejutkan. My cousin's son Fauzi passed away. He was on a bike trip with friends riding towards Tasik Banding when the tragedy happened. He skidded on a bend and lost control of his bike.
